Birkenstock Express began in 1987 as the mailorder division of Footwise, a family-owned and operated retail shoe store in Corvallis, Oregon. We pioneered online Birkenstock sales in the early days of ecommerce, taking our first online order in 1995. Since then we've grown into one of the largest Birkenstock retailers in the business. We pride ourselves on eco-friendly business practices and knowledgeable customer service.

Sonjia is our customer service manager and Live Help guru. She admits to being a serious shoe addict. Nothing makes her happier at work than helping a customer find exactly what they want. At home she is an avid gardener and loving grandmother to two granddaughters.
